Do you travel?
Yes! I gladly accept wedding assignments across the country and hold a current passport for international travel. Travel costs are a simple flat fee paid up-front along with your collection.
How do I hold my date?
Wedding assignments are set in stone once a date retainer is paid ($1,000, applicable to the balance) and the wedding contract signed.
Can you hold my date pretty please?
Without a date retainer and contract, the date remains open to inquiring parties.
Do you offer payment plans?
We can break the collection balance into up to four installments, with the final installment due 30 days before the event.
Do you offer a discount for off-season dates?
Yes! Dates in the months January, February, March, August, November and December are eligible for a $500 rate decrease.

Are you the only photographer?
Yes. I am the primary and only photographer that will shoot your wedding.
Who do you use for second shooters/guest photographers?
I pull from an exclusive list of peers in the area. If requested, I can provide a list of professionals that have been Under Grace Guest Photographers in the past. Due to the high demand of primary assignments for my peers, it is not possible to request a specific Guest Photographer.
How fast can I see my pictures?
A wedding day slideshow (like any seen here) will be available to you one week from your wedding date, and often sooner. Sneak peeks will also fly up on Facebook, so make sure to fan the Under Grace page!
How long does it take to get my online gallery?
Six to eight weeks.
How long does it take for my Wedding Album?
The wedding album takes six to eight weeks upon full payment of additional pages (if necessary) and approval of the final design. The revision process can take as long as one year or as little as six weeks depending on the expediency of bridal feedback.
What is the album revision process like?
It’s a very painless online form like so. You can sit in your jammies with your proof book and your laptop and have it done in a night or two! We have three complimentary revision rounds before a per-revision charge of $35 applies. A ‘revision round’ can be as many image swaps, page additions/deletions or layout shuffles as you like, as long as they are all submitted in the same form and at the same time.
How many images do I get?
I average about 100 images an hour- that’s a bare minimum of 800, with the average wedding having much more.

What does the name ‘Under Grace’ mean?
It’s a reference to my faith and the balance of human emotion in the relationships I document. Friendships, families and marriages thrive when all parties operate under grace. We love each other despite our flaws, quirks and foibles. I strive to capture mostly joy, but also falterings and the grace that covers them.
How would you describe your style?
Wabi Sabi – a Japanese term describing a beauty that is imperfect. I appreciate the allure of unruly hair, a hat askew, or raindrops on a wedding day. Characteristics of the wabi-sabi aesthetic include symmetry, asperity, simplicity, modesty, intimacy, and the suggestion of natural processes (from Wikipedia).
Additionally when on wedding assignments, I cover four corners:
* Details: heirlooms, jewelry, decor, food, atmosphere
* Family Documentation: A neatly organized and quickly executed formal session
* Moments: life happening in between and during the scheduled events
* Fashion: Since you don’t wear a ball gown daily (and maybe you do!), I want to give you and your entourage a once-in-a lifetime fashion shoot. Playing dress-up was fun when you were eight, it’s even more fun now!
Did you go to school for this?
Yes and no. My Bachelor’s degree from Columbus College of Art and Design is in Illustration. I have been formally trained in composition, color concepts, graphic design and typography. Photography was a hobby turned quickly into a thriving business. I currently live in a cozy suburban home in Saint Charles, Missouri with my husband Shawn and two incredible kiddos Sydney and Henry (seen below).
