32 Goals for 2010

Yep, I’m a geezer. But a geezer with goals! My birthday has come and gone this year. Every year I push myself to complete a goal list (not really a Bucket List- more like a Cake+Candle List?) with a goal for every year I’ve been alive. The goals are divided equally into family, business, and personal goals. Some goals are big, some small!

Here are a few I accomplished this past year:

17. Build a giant blanket fort

23. Sew something with Grandma’s fabric

…and here is one that definitely did NOT happen.

2. Fit into my wedding dress.

I was okay with that.

Here is mine for this year- some fun, some practical:

Personal

1. Send a thank you card to someone once a week

2. Attend a wedding as a guest

3. Start clipping coupons

4.  Do Morning Pages once a week

5. Write one snail mail letter a month to a friend

6. Compete the Two Hundred Situps program

7. Complete the One Hundred Pushups program

8. Memorize one bible verse a month

9. Knit a baby hat

10. Call my Grammy once a week

Business

11. Blog two times a week

12. Be published in three bridal magazines

13. Revamp the website

14. Revamp the blog

15. Organize/revisit/rebudget business finances once a month

16. Shoot 10-15 weddings

17. Finish our home studio

18. Cherish/reward my referring clients and colleagues

Family

19. Replace Box Store recurring purchases with local small businesses (Old Town Spice Shoppe, I have my eye on you!)

20. Visit the Saint Charles Farmer’s Market

21. Spend a whole day at the Saint Louis Zoo as a family

22. Have a ’stay home’ night once a week

28. Paint our family room (thinking grey)

29. “Foyer into Modern Mudroom” project

30. Start collecting Family recipes for Heirloom cookbook

31. Have a ‘Girl’s Play Day’ with my Sydney, her Aunties and Grandmas

  6. It helps if you can have a head start on the New Year Resolutions by getting them into practice a month or so early!
