Becky and Kenny- Saint Peters, MO

Becky was such an excited bride- at times she was downright giddy! This event had love wrapped all over it and woven through it, given by dozens of people that Becky and Kenny have touched up until this point…even me! Becky helped me during the formative years of my business and is quite a skilled photographer herself. She is and has been for some time quite active in volunteering her time to work with youth.

See the day in more detail here in the Wedding Album!

Her shoes:

The flower girl was watching every time those shoes weren’t on Becky’s feet so she could wear them and play bride.

These were heirloom pearls that Becky’s Great-Grandpa purchased from a Hong Kong fisherman while in the services during WWI. He bought them loose right off the dock and took them to a jeweler to make a necklace as a gift to his new bride, Great Grandma. THAT’S romance.

The whole Davis family seems to have dancing genes! Dad stopped by the dressing room to practice the first dance.

…and to give her her last kiss as a single woman from her daddy.

Kenny with the prized family truck- Mr. Shapiro has spent many years restoring it and all the Shapiro boys helped him with it.

The Missouri weather went from morning rain to soggy ‘bug under a magnifying glass’ heat in the afternoon. We were so grateful for a nice gust of breeze every now and then. It really looked great with Becky’s veil and dress, too!

Giddy with a capital ‘G’!

Just to give you an idea of how much this event was a labor of love, look at this menu- then imagine the mother of the bride cooking enough for around two hundred guests. Word on the street is that 90 pounds of potatoes were involved.

Becky spent the whole first dance looking at their wedding rings.
