Amy and Andrew

Amy and Andrew are one of my couples from 2006. Amy is continually sending me new clients and I wanted to thank them with a Holiday photo session.  It was wonderful to see them again, and to see how effortlessly they compliment each others’ strengths and weaknesses.  The marriage relationship is such a fascinating thing. It is hard, time-intensive work to cultivate a healthy marriage! I love documenting couples years past the wedding day.

The Rouse Sisters (plus Tom)

These ladies are so fun. Amanda (awesome redhead in the sister sandwich) and I went to senior high camp together this past year as counselors and shared many a root beer float under a starry sky in Camp Patmos. My memory is a little fuzzy, but I do believe I might have given her a face full of shaving cream during the Shaving Cream Battle of 2008. It was the thick of battle and I might have been drunk with power.

So I was really excited when she called me to do pictures of her and her sisters!

Crowning the Cupcake Queen and King

I’ll be making a trip down to the Central West End this week and will call you to set up a personal delivery!

I wish it was Christmas today!

What a nice feeling to be ‘done’ for the year! From now until next spring, I’ll be releasing never-before seen images of baby and family sessions from this past year. You can also choose to follow me via my Twitter feed or my Facebook page.

Here is what we have been doing around here at the Ross household lately-

A Dentist visit, where we learned how to brush our teeth with Mr. Grinny the Dragon:

Using Found Objects for wrapping paper (this year has been almost exclusively DIY handmade gifts- I will spill the beans about them after Christmas Day):

and last but not least, Thumbing our nose at Jack Frost from inside a cosy warm house:

Holiday Card Contest!

Tis the season for a Sweet Tooth! From now until Christmas Eve, I will be hosting a Holiday Card Contest. Leave a comment including your favorite card for whatever reason- the cutest kids, the greatest outfits, or even if you are biased because they are your friends and family! Each comment will be considered one vote! Unfortunately, I don’t have a way to easily stop people from leaving more than one comment, so multiple comments is fair game too!

The winning family will be awarded with one dozen random cupcakes from the amazing CupCakery. Yummy!

Jennifer and Christopher– The Couple

Jennifer was such a fun bride. Her infectious enthusiasm and joy spread through the day like electricity.  She was surrounded by people that loved her deeply the entire day.  There were friends that had gravitated toward Jennifer because of her charisma and family members who helped shape her into the brilliant beauty she has become.  Chris is a perfect compliment to Jennifer- reserved, steady, and shy. I’ve quite enjoyed seeing him through the wedding planning process. It’s quite unsettling for him to be the subject of attention, and he suffered through the engagement session and wedding day portraits because he loves Jennifer just that much. You can see the wedding day album here.
