Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

Published!

Yay! Published in the Knot again! This time I share the spotlight with Megan Thiele, who second shot Shannon and Tom’s wedding with me. Shannon and Tom are expecting an sweet little addition to the family soon. It is starting to become a tradition that any of my brides who get pregnant on the honeymoon or a few months after also get their wedding published. Ladies, you know what to do!

Congratulations also to Silver Box, Jeremy Lawson, Susan Jackson, Adrienne Maples, Alisha Clark and Clary Pfeiffer! I am honored to share pages with all of you!

Byers Holiday Session

The Byers are one of my favorite families. Mom and Dad are so patient and kind. Shiloh is growing up so fast! Wyatt is such a ball of energy- this was great to have the session outside so he could run! He LOVES his baby sister- can you tell?

We just got the news that Aubrey Shiloh made her grand appearance! Here she is in hiding a few weeks ago at her baby shower-

Second Shooting with Stevie

I had the opportunity to second shoot a wedding this weekend with Stephanie from Stevie Photography.

It was SO much fun to shoot with no creative restrictions. Usually a good part of my wedding work day is peppered with keeping the party on schedule (when there isn’t a wedding coordinator), pinning boutinierres, confirming ceremony photo restrictions with the priest,  confirming along with a shot list, quick grip’n'grabs for guests and family members, etc.  All things that are part and parcel of being a wedding photographer! They do tend to take precedence over actual shooting, and I sometimes find myself seeing moments happening that I could like to shoot but can’t be in two places at one time (like Grandma’s hands below!

I highly, highly recommend adding on a second photographer to your package if you haven’t already. A second pair of eyes can capture amazing yet fleeting moments.

I love the freedom to be silly and get shots that might not be relevant to the wedding, but are great for sharing on the blog. Like this big scrumptious bag of Shrimp flavored chips we happened to pass. You know you want to reach in and grab one!

Chris and Becky- The Couple

You guys are in for a treat- I think I have enough material  to blog until Spring comes next year! When it snows outside and the cold is making you miserable, but come on over here where we will have fall colors all winter!

Are you thinking about Christmas Cards yet? I’ll be posting up Christmas Card designs all through December of our Holiday Sessions to inspire you. If you didn’t catch me this year, make sure to book early for next year! Fall/Holiday sessions book as early as one year in advance, especially the last week of October and the first week of November.

On to Becky and Chris! I’m really sad the wedding is over. I had so much fun planning with Becky- she gave me such a loose leash creatively that it helped me produce an abundance of solid images. Thank you so much! Wedding sideshow here!

Chris seeing Becky walking down the aisle with Dad:

What a man! What a mighty, mighty good man.

Quite a dapper group, no?

SMMMMMACK!

Chris looking at Becky on the party bus-

There was a group of little girls who had to pick up their jaws when Becky walked in the pumkpin patch. Their eyes were glued!! They thought she looked just like a princess.
