My Sister Megan’s Topsy-Turvy Photo Extravaganza

Before our date with my husband and her brother to see ‘The Dark Knight’, Megan and I grabbed a few luscious props and a sweet red dress for a photo extravaganza (just for fun!). We found quite a few things touring the countryside- and when I say touring the countryside, I mean within a five mile radius of Mom and Dad’s house in Saint Charles. Saint Charles is AWESOME.

Caitlin+Brad = The Couple

Caitlin and Brad got married two years ago this month- we’ve been stalking each other’s blog since then. When they happened to be in town, we just had to do a shoot! Caitlin is even cuter now than the day she got married- who DOES that? I didn’t think that was humanly possible. A recent quote on Jessica Claire’s blog was, “You can never have a bad day when you’re wearing red shoes!” I mentioned it and Caitlin knew just which blog it was from- we stalk a lot of the same photographers!
Anyway, we went down to the Loop. It’s a fantastic city strip in University City a world and a half apart from my good old down-home Saint Charles.
Everlie and Benny

Everlie and Benny had their second year-in-the-life installment this past week. Everlie’s birth country is Korea and her birth family sent her and Benny some adorable traditional Korean outfits. So cute!
Masen Hale

Happy second birthday Masen!!!
Masen has this adorable quirk when he gets excited- he rubs his belly really fast. It is so cute and funny!
Mom is hoping that he grows out of it before he reaches dating age.
Dad is SO COOL when he lifts me up to get the green gumballs!
AND when he swings me upside down.
AND when he rolls me around the living room on the ottoman!
Here Masen is contemplating- should I be a stinker or should I behave?

It has been a LONG time since we have had family pictures- thank you Stephen Seward! Our last intentional pictures together are from our wedding (three years ago the 30th)!
I’ll preface these pics with the fact that when Stephen showed me a few on the back of his Nikon, I got chills. It’s not often that you get to see pictures of people you love exactly as you remember them. Let me rephrase- when I think of Sydney, I think of her like this:
I am pretty much her favorite right now, which makes Shawn kind of sad. I say it makes me sad too, but really I’m thrilled.
Ashley+Steve = Engaged!

Steve and Ashley came to me from Sabrina (thank you friend!). Ashley is gorgeous and such a sweetie. Steve is a big troublemaker! He is always up to some mischief and has the Jim Halpert “Who, me?” innocent smile down. He romantically dipped Ashley into the thick bushes here. I have the feeling that the wedding party is going to be one CRAZY bunch!
Beth’s Dress Trash!

Last Friday we had a Trash the Dress Bash with a ton of friends! I would like to thank everyone who showed in song. Ironically, this pretty much describes the session!
