Erica and Tom | Regency Conference Center | O’Fallon, IL

“We met almost 10 years ago through a mutual friend.  We did not start dating until about 6 years ago after several years out of contact with each other.  I (Tom) found her on MySpace and asked her out.  A few months later we were officially dating.”

“The wedding day was surprisingly relaxed.  I can’t speak for Erica, but all of the guys got ready at her father’s house and drank a few beers in the garage before hand.  After talking to Erica and her bridesmaids I don’t think there were any major freak out moments there either.”

Tom on Erica, “I thought she was definitely weird when I met her, but I had never met someone who was so genuine in my entire life.  What you see is what you get with Erica, and I loved that.  She is one of the nicest, most caring people I have ever met in my life.  And she definitely has a wild side too.”

“I took her to the Missouri Botanical Gardens for the festival of lights.  It was 12/12/13 and I proposed near the end of the exhibit under the mistletoe. I asked a couple strangers to take our picture and then got down on one knee and proposed.  Erica was very surprised.”

Tom Rick Rolled Erica on her wedding vows, which made her cry with laughter.

Erica scouted a great industrial park with some old buildings. She said it was an old hangout spot.

“We were a little lazy with the wedding planning process.  We were only engaged for 9 months but we were both shocked by how much was involved.  The first thing Erica did was book Keith Lee for the engagement photos.  He put us in touch with you for the wedding photos, and we were totally thrilled with both sets of pictures.  We were both pretty involved in the process.  There was a ton of stuff to take care of in a short amount of time.  Somehow we got it all taken care of and the wedding came together better than we both could have imagined.”

Erica and her clan were getting a workout! She specifically requested jumping photos.

The sky was killer! I couldn’t get over how blue it was.

Erica’s dad worked at Eckert’s and we thought it would be a fun excursion to take the wedding party out there for some photos.

The apples were sweet right off the trees!

“We both thought the food was excellent and many of the guests made the same comments.  Erica decided on the decorations and flowers and I had no idea what to expect when we walked into the reception.  I was very impressed with how well it all came together and thought it looked great.  Glad I left it up to her.  The staff at the Regency was really great too.  Angie Morgan was our coordinator there and she did an excellent job making sure everything was set up.  I was very impressed with all of the vendors that we used.  It was perfect.”

Thanks to Stephen for getting this killer entrance shot!

OF COURSE Erica smashed the cake, I would expect nothing else!

“The entire day was surreal.  It was hard to believe that everything leading up to it was over at the end of the day.  for the next week we were wishing we could go back and do it all over again (minus the planning).  I think everyone had such a good time the whole day and it was just a great feeling to be able to bring all of our family members and friends together for such an awesome day.  Looking back at the photos I still can’t believe how beautiful it all was and how smooth the whole day went.”
